Senior standout track athlete Clay Febus signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Youngstown State University. Febus, who plans on majoring in business marketing, was told he would be their main hurdler on the squad in 2011. Last spring, the 6-foot-3 Febus was one of the area's best hurdlers - leading Medina County in the 300 hurdles (38.2 seconds) and second to teammate Sam Chester in the 110 hurdles (14.5). He was a state participant in both events, but finished a disappointing 8th in the 300 final after being in second place when he took a fall in the final 100 meters.
