Booster Meeting, 7 pm, Mon., Aug. 9

in MHS Distance Learning Lab

We invite parents, faculty, community members, Booster members to the first Booster meeting of the 2010-11 school year. Boosters will meet at 7 pm, Monday, Aug. 9 in the MHS Distance Learning Lab.

Volunteers needed in many areas of Boosters but particularly the following: Recognition, Membership, Advertising, Concessions and Hive Happenings. If you are interested in volunteering with Boosters, please see any Booster board member at Monday's meeting.

Thousands of Medina area families will have the opportunity to view your ad in this year''s MHS Sports Program sold at home sporting events. The Medina Athletic Boosters prints the sports program three times per year. Don't be left out!

Area businesses who would like to take advertising to the next level within Boosters are welcome to become a sponsor. There are a variety of sponsorship levels: $5,000, $2,500 and $1000, as well as a la carte options.

3 - Medina Fans: Cheer on Your Favorite Athlete!

Parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors - anyone - who would like to wish their favorite fall athlete best wishes can have their intentions published in the 2010 Fall Sports Program.

Congratulations to Ken Dukes Scholarship Winners

Four scholarships through the Ken Dukes Scholarship program were presented to MHS seniors: $1,000 scholarships were given to Tyler Peters (basketball) and Nicole Jankowski (soccer); and two $500 awards were given to Gabe Kramer (football) and Liam McLauglin (diving, bee mascot)

Medina Work To Play Program Offers Athletes Chance to Earn Money

Medina Work To Play program for local businesses and community members submitting small jobs for athletes to work for pay has begun. For details, click on "medina work to play" to the left. Information is detailed on this page.

New Booster Board Members Named

Voted in at the Mon., May 11 meeting are the new Booster Board members for the coming year:

President - Bill Bennett

Vice President - Bill McMillen

Treasurer - Michelle McNeely

Secretary - Melissa Tanferno

Director of Membership - Bill Doraty

If you are not a Booster member and would like to become one, please click on the "membership information" link to the left. Throughout the year, Board members and active Booster members vote on items that affect ALL Medina athletes.

New Boosters Alumni and Graduating MHS Senior Membership Levels Available!

60+ MHS Alumni Membership - This level at a one-time $100 fee offers discounts at area businesses, Battling Bee window decal, voting privileges, weekly sport updates and special lifetime alumni membership card.

MHS Lettered Graduate Membership - Any graduating MHS senior who has earned a letter during their high school years will be given a 5-year membership to the Boosters at no cost.
